The Best pub food and drink I have been in this year. Very friendly and welcoming pub. You know it's a friendly pub when someone brought their dog with them. They brew their own beer and they have different types. The roast beef was excellent. The chicken sticky was fabulous and generous portions. The desserts were excellent served with amazing ice cream. Unless you are lucky you may need to book a week in advance, it's that good.

Excellent food and good service. Out of seven people, not one was disappointed. Quite busy on a Sunday afternoon, but the staff did well to attend to us.

Fantastic Sunday lunch at the Hop Vine. Beef Sunday dinner was fantastic, we had a few starters between the group (garlic mushrooms, salt and pepper calamari and some breaded brie). All the food was awesome. Lots of beers on draft and the wine was very good too! Highly recommend!!

How was the Hop Vine, asks Google. Well, a shock actually. Totally traditional pub inside and out, which I love. The real ale was top notch, so absolutely no complaint there. The shock was walking in to a packed pub, two deep at the bar, and with four bar staff rushed off their feet!!! I mean, hell, I can’t remember the last time that I saw that. We decided to eat there and struggled to get a table, but they fitted us in. Had we not been there as service started we wouldn’t have stood a chance. The food was wonderful. This pub balances the traditional drinkers pub with the needs of people wanting to eat good quality food. Few pubs manage it so well. The number of people in there says it all really. The owner could make a career advising other pubs how to replicate his business model.

Nice pub just a few minutes walk from Burscough Bridge station with it's own brewery. Food served and music played discreetly in the background. Friendly and welcoming staff.

The Hop Vine is one of my favourite places to eat in the area and have not dined here for a while. We had the Steak & Ale Pie, Hunters Chicken and for desert Apple Pie & Cheesecake. Why if one of my favourite places to dine do I give 4 stars…..simple…The Hope Vine has set high standards with our past visits and this visit was very good but not as good as previous (now we are splitting hairs here) as it was very good. I think it was because we enjoyed our desert more than the main course. The staff here are very and I mean very good and friendly some of the finest in the area. A wonderful selection of real ales. I wish I could pop the star rating at 4.5 but can only put 4 and not fair to put 5 when I know and have experienced the Hop Vine at its finest previously. Would I return - yes, would I recommend to anybody - absolutely. One of finest Pub / Restaurants in the area.

Visited the Hop Vine on 5.9.21 first time I've been there. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in this eatery . There is is good selection on the menu and prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are good. Its location 5 minutes walk from Leeds Liverpool canal so after a feed a nice walking 🚶‍♀️will help you digest your meal. Well worth a visit .
