Clearly five good visits do not make up for one bad visit. Unfortunately the food arrived stone cold, the chips unedible. After requesting a replacement dinner, the SAME meal came back reheated from the microwave. (we were told it had been cooked again fresh!) It was taken back again and we were then told ten minutes later that the food couldn't be cooked and a refund would be the only option. We asked for the manager who appeared 20 minutes later who said she had to cook the meal herself. We felt very awkward and one of us by this time, had to eat alone. This pub was a favourite and this bad experience has left us not wanting to return.

Great prices. It's Wetherspoons, don't expect the Ritz. Bar staff really friendly.

Waited for about 30mins for mix grilled. Food arrived cold. Mash potatoes very hard. Peas uncooked. Very poor presentation. Have to ask staff for my drink twice, 7mins after food arrived.

From what I saw last night behind the bar absolutely disgusted me, I used to come in here when I was younger with some family members so decided to come in, the manager behind the bar one of the regulars told me he’s name was Sean and the way he spoke to a female member of staff last night made my stomach turn. I’m his words. I CONTROL YOU, I’m your manager I can do whatever I want and you must obey me. . I HAVE RAN BARS FOR PRETTY MUCH MOST MY ADULT LIFE AND THE MANNOR HE SPOKE TO HIS STAFF IS UNACCEPTABLE, he looks like he was trying to intimidate the young girl, if this is how all managers treat there staff at weatherspoons I will not be returning. Bad day or not you do not speak to women like that. In fact you do not speak to any human being like that. That poor girl deserves a public apology, I never caught her name as she looked like she wanted to cry. And to do it infront of customers shows that manager has no regard for anyone but him self. HR need to speak to this man and question staff because if he can comfortably speak to staff like this infront of customers about a stock take. Imagine what he does behind closed doors. Someone needs to speak to them I can’t stress enough how bad this was. I don’t normaly write reviews but wow.
