Good proper boozer if you fancy a quick pint after work or want to watch the footie or rugby evenings or weekends. Locals are good fun and friendly and the bar staff are very good and welcoming (and appreciative of your custom). Cheaper drinks here than most other local bars and good quality Guinness if that's your thing.

Great pub, over 15 years Xena is a lovely woman and her husband is a great guy. I might be biased as I have worked there before, but the crowd and customers were always friendly with me from day one when I first went in. Always have great beers and rotating ales. A good night out , its not your usual clicky type pub as regulars do not shun. Great crowd, if you are new you have the choice too embrace the locals, or be at your own space either way it works. BIG DAVE.

Ales always in great condition and usually up to 3 available on hand pump, and reasonably priced, which is rare these days outside of Wetherspoons. Good juke box, which is also rare these day. Good buzzy atmosphere. Could possibly benefit from a bit of air conditioning though
