The Star Inn - JD Wetherspoon

Yet again The Star Inn fails.
Meals ordered but the Steaks arrived without salad as per menu! Did ask but they never materialised. Poor customer service.
Basically the establishment is extremely tired dirty tables food on the floor & the carpet well....so so grim.
We had to eat & gave it benefit of the doubt having not been there for ages. Will not be retuning, shame Honiton as a tourist town can't have a better Wetherspoon pub it's embarrassing.

A very nice meal for a family of 6 from 12 to 70+.
Entry is great for a disabled client, but to my knowledge no access to restrooms.
A couple of items were off the menu but that happens.
The staff were brilliant 👍

Great JD's over 3 floors with bars on 2 of them and of course the loo's are on the top floor,also has a sun terrace on the second floor.

Pleasant pub, although quite busy. Food good, as usual. Nice outdoor area with benches.

Dirty tables, my husband had to clean them before food arrived. Food was stone cold when arrived but got full refund as we couldn’t eat it. This place struggles as obviously short staffed. Staff pleasant and willing to help but are obviously harassed due to workload.

Absolute joke today. I had to run around for litterally everything I needed. Ate my food with a sauce I didn't wanted, had unlimited coffee but could only have one because neither machine isn't working. No eggs and wasn't told. (otherwise I would have ordered something else) had to constantly chase staff, cue at bar to get additional items. Tables not cleared, condiments not kept, place looks untidy. Absolutely fuming! Sort it out!

As usual good value and very tasty food in a relaxed environment. Definitely worth a stop at when heading that way.

Deceptively spacious.
Usual value.
Log fire 🔥 !!!!
Food always good.
Beer always good and well priced.
Parking nearby
No dogs obviously and not a great outdoor space.
