Great family pub which I have now been going to for the past four years. Since the pub had new owners the food has improved 100%. The staff are warm and welcoming and don't rush you,and if they have time will spend more time chatting to you. Part of the pub goes back to the 17th century with log or coal fire place.Lovely and cosy in winter or Christmas time.plus there are no games or music machines. Great for going with friends and family for a quite get togethers. They now have a wonderful outside sitting and eating area, which was beautiful during last summer heatwave.

Haven't been to the White Cross for years so I was interested to see if anything had changed. Very warm welcome and good service from the bar staff. The car park is very large and meanders around the pub on three sides. The buffet (It was for a funeral wake) was excellent.

Food was microwaved, they forgot the gravy and peas to the point where i had to go up and ask the kitchen for it myself. Gravy was then watery and tasteless. On the bright side the staff are very polite

Sweet old style pub that’s dog friendly and an okay spot for a drink. But the roast dinners were awful; over cooked, dry, and I imagine, microwaved.

What a lovely pub. They have totally revamped their outside space to allow more people to enjoy the weather and it is really well done. They have a couple of ales on and several different lagers. Really lovely staff. Well worth a visit. I've been back since this review and it is still a great pub. Such nice people too.
