I hadn't been here before and was very surprised how nice it was inside. Plenty of space and assistants around .Carvery was very good and plentiful and only issue was that it was not as warm as I would have liked. Good selection of meat and vegetables

We had our first visit here last week and were blown away at the quality of the food. They have the carvery going everyday and there was so much choice! The meat was amazing and cooked perfectly. They really don't skimp on the amount of meat they plate up for you. Even the vegetables and potatoes were lovely with lots of different options and different types of potatoes. I usually avoid carvery dinners, I've never enjoyed them but this is my new exception to my rule. Honestly it's worth a try and it's fantastic value for money when considering the portion size and quality. The venue itself is nice with a play area in the garden and some covered garden seating. The inside has a traditional pub vibe and is warm and welcoming. As are the staff, the lady behind the carvery was lovely as well as the lady serving our table. Always talking and joking with us and they handled a group of 20 really well. There is also plenty of parking with is always a win.

Called for lunch thae carvery was 7.50 for dinner and dessert. I must say this was the best carvery we have had the meat was tasty and well cooked, all the vegetables (and there was a lot ) tasted and cooked perfectly. The dessert was packed for us to take home and It was excellent. Usually in carvery chains everything looses its taste, they are dry from being under the hot lights.
Thank you Golden Goose for a lovely meal.

Very easy to book up

On arrival all the staff was great a friendly.

The price for the carvery was great value and quality was exceptional.

It is a very family orientated place so expect it to be loud and full of young children

Lovely pub, good size car park, clean and staff friendly, had a carvery on a Sunday very busy, food was very nice. Sat in the garden due to it being busy. Recommend booking if u want to eat inside. We will go again

They have a fantastic carvery with Yorkshire puddings as big as a small child's head! The service is excellent and very efficient. All three of us came away full up and happy. I will be back!

Came here as another birthday treat. We all had the carvery as there had been some great reviews about it.
I gave it 6/10
It was cold inside through the duration of the meal, which we all found uncomfortable.
The carvery meat and some of the veg was really nice but the roast potatoes/parsnips were chewy, hard and crunchy. Maybe we were just unlucky that night!
