The food is good, but the cutlery was dirty when we got it. The place was not even busy at the moment. So in general, I would not recommend this place as it not hygiene. 3/10

Possibly the pub with the most family friendly atmosphere I have ever visited. They've got a healthy selection of beverages, and a decent food menu. To top it off, they even serve breakfast daily between 8 and 11:30. Easily one of my favorite pubs. They recently added a few items to their breakfast menu, including American pancakes.

The main meal was amazing but the American pancakes where very bland and a tiny bit of ice cream

If I could give less than 1 star, I would....

The presentation of the pub generally was a bit poor (in comparison to quite a few wetherspoons I had been in the past)

When attending the toiletts, some.of them were clearly out of order, not due to a.sign but to toilette roll paper blockage. Clearly not maintained, checked or cleaned reguraly.

And food wise... Well, I don't even know where to start...
I will only resume it to the fact that I ordered a maple&chicken salad with bacon to receive what it seemed to be chunks of bacon ripped by hand (or teeth) and a very old and dry chunks of chicken that looked like the left overs from someone elses dish. Not even mentioning the fact that it was hard to touch as if it was left to dry since a day before...

I wish I could have taken pictures of how the presentación of the dish looked, but find attached some pictures of the pieces of chicken and bacon brought to me (completely untouched from me as I only ate the lettice and spinach).

These and more puts in doubt the sanitary standards of this pub. Please avoid.

I have been here in summer and visited again today, the place isn’t hygiene whatsoever, the tables are dirty, so are the cutlery and the everything else around you except from the bar counter, poor bathroom access, and Flies loads of FLIES ! I’ve ordered breakfast for myself and 2 smaller portions for my children, it was impossible to eat due to the flies trying to attack your food constantly, and I get it they come and go but at this time of the year with that amount of flies there HAS to be something wrong In this place, not to mention the mould that was inside my toddlers orange juice, truly shocking.
The food was okay, it’s just that the atmosphere makes you to not want to eat your food. Needs to be fixed ASAP

This could be Rotterdam, or anywhere: Liverpool or Rome... if they had Wetherspoons in Rotterdam or Rome, that is. The point is that it is a Wetherspoons, and you know exactly what you get. A large selection of cheap drinks, you know what you get when it comes to the food, and you know pretty well what the other punters will be like. Staff are overworked (and underpaid) but do their best. On my last visit, Stuart deserves a special mention: very attentive and polite (and even interrupted his break to help out and serve).

The pub is deceptively large (in that the front is not very wide but the pub goes back a fair bit and there's an upstairs, too). The bar, as in so many Wetherspoons, is long.

With the cheapest pints in town it gets busy, and what you sacrifice with atmosphere you make up for with your bank balance. Tim Martin has many things to answer for, but his business model of cheap drinks is s not one of them.

Have been here several times, most staff are polite and mindful of weirdos and always get rid of them, but the cutlery served is often filthy. Knives and forks covered in chunks of dry food, looks like it’s come straight from another finished plate. Don’t know how staff fail to notice when it’s that much. Last time I asked the staff member for another fork, he went and got one no problem but didn’t apologise for having served me a dirty fork. I know it’s only one grievance but it’s a deal breaker. Won’t be going again as this has happened too many times now.
