Lovely friendly village pub on the 7 mile Ellesmere circular walk. Excellent lunch stop off. Good selection of beers with a very good menu, including gluten free options. Plenty of space and nooks inside to eat or relax in. Great atmosphere with a wood fire, plus tables to sit outside in the garden next to the big car park.

Lovely spot for food whilst on our canal boat holiday. About a 15 minute walk from where we moored. Beautiful food, good choice of ales and drinks, and friendly service. Toilets are really clean and lots of seating inside and out. We really enjoyed it.

A lovely roadside pub, the perfect pit stop. My Dad stopped here overnight whilst doing the John O Groats to Landsend on pushbike. The lady behind the bar was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food was lovely. We would definitely return if we are in the area again :)

Lovely pub, friendly staff very helpful too. Food was great the wife said it was the best bitter shandy that she has had. And the pud we had was the Baileys and white chocolate torte yum yum. Would recommend a stop over here for a pint and some lovely food.

I love this place! Always warm welcome and nothing ever too much trouble. Excellent food and bar. I intentionally plan my relaxation time and dog walks to be able to meet up with friends here afterwards - cannot recommend highly enough

8 of us aged 37 came here for a few hours last Friday afternoon before checking into a weekend retreat. Extremely welcoming, superb beer garden with plenty of sun, food was excellent and the service was as good as I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommend

We had a great lunch here. Did a big walk beforehand to get there so had worked up an appetite. The portions were very generous. We had starters and mains both of which were absolutely delicious. Best food we’ve had in Shropshire so far! The pub has lots of character with tables in lots of little rooms. It has a really nice garden seating area and the toilets were very good. Nice beer and very friendly service.
