Great own brewed ales, friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. One of Rugeley's hidden jems.

Pool table and outside seating are a plus for this tucked away old school town pub.

Sound pub, rock music, decent beer and people. Old times room at the front and occasionally bands playing ipstairs. Has a decent microbrewery too. Always been a good place this one (new pool cues needed though).

My first visit and very impressed.

Proper traditonal pub selling great condition real ales, some from their own on-site brewery.

A warm welcome from bar staff (and the real fire), and friendly locals.

Will be back for sure.

Was not expecting such a warm welcoming hospitality, lovely home brewed offerings and a delicious panini to boot. Traveling up the Trent & Mersey and needed to stop for shopping and laundry, and stopped in for a pint while the clothes were washing. I thought OK, I’ll stop and have another while they’re drying, which turned into a 3rd once the clothes were all finished, and a single malt whisky from a patron. Kudos to Helen for making me feel at-home across the ocean and the patrons evidently enjoying the warmth of a fire and each others company on a chilly October evening.

What a fantastic pub! Really friendly, well kept ale, tasty snacks and 5* for the ladies loo!

Brilliant if staying at the travel lodge. Basic menu but had an absolutely fantastic burger with best chips ever. Ate outside in the courtyard. Sadly felt quite at risk listening to 2 lads talking on the table next to me. Didn't finish my food and left in a hurry. Probably just a chance encounter but nonetheless took the shine off a great pint and a tasy burger.
