Absolutely beautiful , food was amazing , service first class , very friendly, party of 13 and service was perfect. The menu is lovely . We were celebrating my grandma's 95th birthday and they made it very special. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Lovely experience, food was very tasty, I had lamb shank, mash and roast veg. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard- delicious. Staff very helpful, served quickly. I would recommend

We had the lunchtime special today and were extremely disappointed. We had soup and a cheese toasty. The soup was cold so we had to send it back. After about 10 minutes it came back but it was only luke warm and the toasty had gone cold. We ordered drinks and the staff forgot them so we had to remind them. The pub was very busy and they only had two front of staff on duty. One was doing the drinks and the other was welcoming guests, taking orders. Taking out the food, processing payments, taking drinks orders out etc. A couple came in looking for a table and were turned away not because there were no tables but, in the words of the waitress, they were short staffed. This was not the fault of the staff who were doing their best but more staff were needed. It may be better to stop walk ins and accept bookings only then the pub would know how many people they were catering for and make sure they had enough staff on duty to accommodate. The waitress knew we were not happy but made no attempt to say sorry or offer us a refund etc when we went to pay. Obviously we won’t be sampling the lunchtime special again. It’s a shame as this is the first time we have been there for lunch. Usually we go on an evening and the food and service has always been very good.

Had the vegetarian halloumi fajitas it was lovely would recommend it to anyone.

Can't wait to go back and try the other vegetarian options

revisited again after 3years. the standard of food and service were good. they are doing specical lunch £7 soup and toasty, £5 omelette and salad. the smoked haddock and slow cooked belly pork were delicious，

We arrived at 1pm on friday, it was already quite busy. my recommendation is to book advance to guarantee seats. sandwiches are in generous portions. steak and potato pies is tasty.

What a fantastic traditional pub, called on our way home tonight, staff very welcoming and friendly. Food was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend to everyone else 😁 10/10

7 of us visited the Elm Tree for lunch on Thursday 30th September. It was the first day of the new menu, there was a super choice, the meals were all hot, well cooked and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
I would highly recommend the Elm Tree if you are looking for a good place for a meal with friends or family.

Had a Boxing Day meal booked here however our baby became poorly last minute therefore we wouldn’t have been able to sit in the restaurant. I called them an hour before our booking to make them aware and asked if we could have it to take away instead. Arrived to pick up the food and it was all separated and written on clearly, they explained what everything was, how to reheat if needed and put all of our desserts separate for us to keep them cold. They even knocked £10 off the bill for not eating in even though we’d given them short notice. They wished us the best with our baby and overall were so lovely. Ate the meal at home and not a single fault can be said, one of the best meals we’ve had, amazing portion sizes and will definitely be returning in the future.
