We stopped off on our boat here for dinner during a holiday to the broads. We had an absolutely lovely meal. For a starter we shared Brie wedges, mains were chicken pie and bangers & Mash, and puddings were sticky Toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. All were magnificent and service was prompt. Decor was lovely, staff were polite, the place was cosy and warm.

I've taken a star off because we saw a sign on the broads saying "Moorings available" so we phoned up and booked. But when we arrived it was £5 to Moor. We didn't mind, particularly, but it would have seemed more transparent to put it on the sign or tell us on the phone.

Great find - started coming here a few years ago, we usually park in the car park and walk part of the Weaver's Way before returning for lunch. Very dog friendly, staff always kind and attentive since we've been visiting. Vegan and vegetarian options are fantastic, great beer garden for eating during the summer. Highly recommended!

Lovely Broads pub. Despite the slightly shabby exterior appearance the inside has a great ambience. Great, attentive staff. Quick and tasty food service. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing by.
If you're staying at Clippesby Hall, it's really worth the walk over the fields to get there!

Brilliant pub and restaurant (so much choice for food and drink -inc vegan options)- somehow manages to cater for scores of families and still maintain a level of class and sophistication suitable for those visiting without family. We had booked ahead 24 hours in advance (glad we did as it was busy and we would have ended up sitting outside) and the service over the phone was great. We arrived on time, we’re seated in the dog friendly section of the restaurant - a quaint and well decorated room which felt more at home than sitting in a pub in the broads. There was background music and we were served almost immediately. I loved the fact there were so many drinks to choose from - especially guest kegs and casks of IPAs - I was spoilt for choice but chose citrus flavoured beer as it was a hot day. Didn’t regret it - they were satisfying. Our food was ordered and brought out again in quick time. Portion sizes were huge (I didn’t complain) and looked amazing. Like the drink menu, there was lots to choose from - including some variety to cater for vegan diet. I chose a wild boar dog and was deeply satisfied. The pudding menu was slightly underwhelming - but after eating so much all I wanted was some sorbet and a coffee. Prices were a little more on the expensive side compared to where we ate on the broads but it was well worth the price. After dinner, we headed outside and let the kids play in the park. All in all it was a great meal to top off our brilliant holiday on the broads. If we ever return, we will eat here again.

We stopped for lunch here after hiring a boat on the broads. The food was absolutely delicious and pretty quick considering how busy they were. Would highly recommend.

The specials for Oktoberfest were amazing, Bratwurst up with the best, served with huge pile of German fries.
Fantastic choice of Beers, Ales, Ciders, and Lagers. Even a can fridge in the bar with even more beers.
For me personally the star drink was the black lager, quite simply beautiful.

Even if you are T Total, the regular food was absolutely on point, backed up with friendly, great service and excellent value for money.

We stopped at this lovely little pub after hiring a day boat in Potter Heigham. Nice welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. Sat down in a beautiful room and ordered some food. Didn't have to wait long and our meal came out. My husband ordered the ham, egg and chips and I ordered a ham cibatta thay cam with English mustard, lettcue and tomato with a side of thick cut chips. Delicious meals and reasonably price. Would highly recommend The Lion at Thurne, will be back definitely.
