The staff were helpful and polite. The interior is clean and tastefully decorated. The food was excellent (fish & chips and beef pie) and the portions were ample.

Regularly visit the Ship Inn at Caton and we are never disapointed.
Front of house always friendly and welcoming.
The Chef cooks lovely meals and our last visit was no exception with an awesome battered fish and chips.
Thank you.

Friendly, attentive staff. Really enjoyed the food. Lentil, sweet potato curry, so tasty. Friends had a chicken dish, which they really enjoyed. Lovely pub inside, stunning flowers outside. Children and dogs welcome.

At Last! Food done the right way,all fresh and cooked properly. Staff are very friendly and they don't pester you every five minutes. Really enjoyed my experience here. Definitely worth a visit. 10/10

Food quite tasteless. Booker, possibly. Only good bit was the fries/ chips. We ordered three meals. Curry was tasteless. Burger was rubbery. Chicken, ham and leak pie was passable.

Wouldn't bother again.

An attractive pub with well kept beer. Would’ve normally attracted 5 stars but for what appears to be the Friday crèche.

The place was teeming with yummy mummies at the start of the weekend yesterday, who were more interested in necking back a few after the school run, rather than controlling their manic broods.

Who wants to sip a quiet pint or glass of wine with lots of kids running about screaming everywhere, especially where there’s very little or no parental control.

The pub should take steps to shepherd these groups towards the back of the pub and create a family area away from the general patrons.

We have a Static caravan down the road at Crook O Lune for last 20 months. We Called in yesterday for first time , what a nice cosy and warm pub. Traditional old building with low beams .We ordered food which was absolutely spot on . Piping red hot and very good portion sizes. Young girl behind the bar was prompt with service and very friendly. We've booked again this weekend for 4 of us. Pub is also dog friendly. Highly recommended. 👌

Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Christmas goes we’re a great idea, loaded with turkey, ham, chiplolatas, cranberries and parsnip crisps on top. Dog friendly too. My hubby ended up feeding 4 dogs our leftovers and staff came round with a dog bowl.
