After a great walk from Lancaster to Hest Bank this was an ideal watering hole for lunchtime refreshment. Good choice of beer and food.

I had my daughters 30th birthday at the Hest bank last night, we had a room sectioned off for us with the bar. What can I say, Dan and his fantastic staff did me proud, the buffet was amazing, So much food served both hot and cold. He allowed me to decorate the room and the staff really couldn’t do enough for us, thank you so much everyone for making it a great night. I would definitely recommend you and will certainly have a get together with yourselves again 😊
Many thanks

Disappointed!
We arrived at 3pm and were told there would be a 15-minute wait for food. Ordered at 3.25pm and the food arrived at 4.25 pm, my burger should have had 2 x 3oz patties, BBQ sauce and brisket, I got one very over cooked burger and no brisket or sauce, my wife's food was swimming in grease and water making the fries too soggy to eat. We raised this when someone passed eventually and they offered to take it back, but we were starving, and we needed to leave at 5pm, so ate some of it, making it clear we would pay full price. We were told they would pass on our complaint to the chef, but the staff showed little to no interest in the fact we received only part of our meal, despite paying full price, it took an hour to arrive and the fact at it was terrible.
We won't be back!

First time I’ve eaten here in a very long time and my god I’d eat again I had a kids Sunday dinner and it was big enough for me so I can expect plenty on the full size, price isn’t expensive and the quality is incredible I honestly didn’t want it to end! Will definitely be back! My only issue is it’s too far away from where I live so can’t walk it but that’s just my problem but I’ll definitely be back. Cheep drinks and cheap food in my opinion! Ps I was naughty and had an extra Yorkshire 🤣 but you get red cabbage as well that I didn’t actually know but was once again lovely!
