Saturday night dining in a bistro pub can be hit and miss. Maybe we caught it on an off day. We were given a table right by the kitchen entrance, so there was a lot of traffic behind my back. The specials were reasonable, if on the pricey side. We would have preferred them to move us to another room on the left of the main entrance, which had better ambience.

A really good menu with something for everyone. The food we had was well cooked and there was enough food with some leftover, I'll put it another way, you won't leave hungry. The atmosphere is good and the staff looked after us very well. The owner is very cheerful and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be going back again. Well done The White Swan.

Excellent Customer service, Meal/Drink & Bar/Lounge. The only thing was in my view alittle warm in the bar so I chose to eat in the lounge/back room which was better as it had Natural Bright Light.

I had a Sunday Roast Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings (roast & mash potatoes, peas, carrots, crispy cabbage & Stuffing with plenty of gravy) & for Pudding Apple Pie with custard.
My opinion ALL HOMEMADE & Not what expect when you normally eat at a Pub.

Thanks again to Theresa Miller & the Staff for a Fantastic Sunday Roast Turkey Dinner for 1 person.

went there for lunch today and it was great. a lot of choice for Sunday lunch set. ordered prawn cocktails, pot mushroom stillton cheese and garlic bread with chorizo... starters were amazing and portion wasn't small. freshly made warm bread amazing amazing!!!!! main course was okay as we all think starters were way better. had a really good time there will definitely be back very soon.

oh coffee's really good too!!!

My brother (Mark Levy, not to be confused with the previous negative reviewer) and I love this place. The Sunday lunch is delicious, the staff couldn't be more welcoming and it's the only restaurant we feel totally relaxed bringing our mum, who has advanced dementia, to. She is treated with respect and kindness. Thank you all!

Had a very warm welcome. Food was good but a bit too much. Did think it a bit pricey for a pub, which may be bourne out by the fact that it wasn't very busy despite being the only non curry place to eat out in the village. Don't get me wrong, the food was very good but just think they may have their pricing point wrong, if they want to compete with the eating establishments in Barrow and other surrounding villages.
