Gorgeous countryside pub, fabulous beer garden

Cracking location, lovely pub, old fashioned service, very enjoyable, we never ate here but the food looked nice.

Lovely "little" pub with amazing views of the downs. The garden is huge and was well worth the detour. The home made food was tasty, certainly would recommend visiting if you are that way.

Loved this pub, really pretty location. The food is yummy and tastes home cooked. The owner is grumpy and not very welcoming, but the food and location is worth it! Watch out for wasps whilst eating in the garden!

We were recommended this beautiful little pub by our hosts. We had had a long day at Goodwood and wandered in quite late on the Sunday evening. The pub had a great atmosphere with plenty of locals enjoying their evening, and friendly welcoming staff. Real ale poured straight from the cask, and we were just in time to order some of the excellent home cooked food.
Exactly the kind of charming local you hope to find.

Great, friendly village local. Hearty food. Decent ales. Fire for winter. Garden for summer.

As always, it is a lovely gem of a pub with a beautiful location. Friendly people run the pub and excellent comfort food at a reasonable price. Knocks the socks off a few of our other local pubs with their food menu. Highly recommended.
