Absolutely lovely pub, can't believe I've never been there before!

Great selection of beers, real ales, and ciders (the two ales I had were good pints), and the food looked good/smelled good.

Good mix of indoor and outdoor seating available, and dog/walker/cyclist friendly.

Will definitely pop in again.

Lovely little pub with amazing food (breaksfast was amazing). Room 3 was nothing spectacular but was comfortable and clean and had all the usual amenities. The staff were nice, and over all, it was a cheap stay in somewhere decent. Perfect for a few night away that didn't cost the earth. Bar prices were good too.
Would definitely return.

Lovely little pub with lots of rooms off the main bar to sit in. Full of history. I didn't eat here but the food that came out looked nice

Stayed 3 nights was absolutely brilliant. Lovely old pub with great hosts Andy and Vicky. Breakfast was cooked freshly and in plentiful. Sunday bank holiday was cider festival and the Twerzels. An amazing day. Food is good here too. The ploughman’s lunch is superb huge portions too. Can’t wait to go back

Been calling in here for decades, good pub, good beer. Sadly disappointed with the recent gammon steak I had; while a good size, it was so undercooked it was frankly partially raw so I dared not finish more than half of it. A shame.

Lovely old village pub, steeped in history. Various rooms in which to sit and eat or drink, plus a beautiful courtyard. No car park - you can park on the side road next to the pub, just pull in tight to avoid the farm traffic that passes! Food is proper pub grub - good, honest food at v reasonable prices.

My son is at Bristol University and we have visited and eaten at this pub twice now finding it great value for money. The menu isn't extensive compared to some pubs but it's got enough on it to have a good choice and it is very well-priced. Good choice of beers too. Would highly recommend.
