Great central location, friendly and helpful staff, delicious and fairly priced food (pizzas are so good). Will definitely be visiting again

Generally a great place to go but when they get busy.

Fish and chips come out not cooked properly.. the batter soft and not too good!

Overall an ok experience but when the place is busy I would rather them take their time and not rush!
I unfortunately had to send my plate back and had the same problem again!

These guys were a welcome relief from some really awful service at the Silverdale Hotel just down the road! Didn’t need a booking to get some hot chips for our daughter, went out of their way to make us welcome & even though understaffed…they tried hard to make sure we left Silverdale much happier than we had left the Silverdale hotel! A couple behind us had also had the same awful customer experience at the Silverdale & it was great to see that as just 2 couples that were turned away we contributed circa £60 to a place that is welcoming & wants to make people feel that it is a great place to stop!

WELL DONE to The Royal!

Lovely quaint village pub. Plenty of seating and car parking. Decor is on point. Great little Pitstone for light refreshments whilst out exploring the area.

Lovely looking pub and nice peaceful place to sit outside in the sunshine. The website looks amazing and other reviews are great. Unfortunately we did not get to sample any food or drink because the staff did not come over to take the order. We left after 15 minutes of asking to order and after multiple tables were served/cleared around us. We would not usually mind waiting at all but it was not busy and at no point were we acknowledged re. the wait There are also very limited vegetarian options on the evening menu i.e. just pizza. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to it!
