Going to start with the positives

They have done a great job on the refurb. The staff were very friendly and you could tell they are trying hard to impress since reopening. I also enjoyed my cinnamon swirl bread and butter pudding.

Now for the negative

Upon sitting down we were reeled off a long list of food that wasn't available only to find out the options we did pick were also not available. The burger as you can see was the size of a McDonald's happy meal burger and the linguine wasn't that much bigger. We repeatedly had to ask for our water as it seemed to be forgotten on numerous occasions. Last but no least my Irish coffee was served with nothing Irish about it. Like the water it seemed to be forgotten.

To conclude I wouldn't recommend to others as there are better options about.

We had a nice impromptu lunch this afternoon. Sat outside so the kids could play in the small play area. The food was reasonably priced, the staff all friendly and I really liked the cute little touches at the bar (see pics). The food wasn't anything special but it was nice enough and the basic sort of pub lunch we were after! The anti pasti platter we shared for starters was very nice. We had club sandwiches for mains, which were on huge slaps of bread but the chicken breast was a little overcooked! We'd go back if we were in the area and needed a quick bite and beer whilst the kids ran around!

Had a great evening at The Fields. We were served by Kayleigh and she made sure we had the best time possible. She was friendly, bubbly and went along with our little jokes. Thank you for a lovely evening Kayleigh! ❤️

Bar staff was amazing very friendly happy to help really good service. Waiters and waitresses served really well very helpful and friendly The only problem was we ordered lamb shanks they were still cold and a waiter bought out 2 steaks and didn’t know wot was med/rare or well done. The medium rare was a bit over cooked But they compensated with a round of drinks They bought out the birthday cake we bought with us overall we had a lovely time

Great place to stop for a meal on the way home from Dover to Dorset. A Marston’s Inn with good beer and nice food. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I was away working staying very nearby so gave it a try. Had a great meal, we had the Bourbon Steak, and the crumble, which I can highly recommend. Staff were very friendly and service was really good.
Pub is clean and modern with a quirky twist, over all a really good experience.

Really nice and cosy restaurant. Friendly staff. Food was also very good and so was the service. Prices are very reasonable. Salt & Pepper calamari were very tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Dreadful time on Boxing Day most of the main course food was just about warm, gf option starter one warm piece of smoked salmon so rubbery! All soups sent back as cold to be warmed up,there are 18 of of us still waiting for pudding, in fact we are leaving now , expecting a refund you have ruined a family meal
