Very accomodating staff finding us a table as we were a party of 6. Lovely atmosphere warm and inviting. Toilets very clean and well equipped. Staff helpful providing samples of ales to help us to make a choice.

Had my birthday tea here just yesterday, a table of 11. No pre order required and the food was perfect. Staff very helpful and efficient would definitely recommend and go back again.

Great food, great atmosphere, great beer. Very happy that 30 years after I worked in this pub, the place is as good, if not better, than it ever has been. Keep up the good work!

Really nice food, accommodated our party well after realising there had been a miscommunication in accessibility requirements. Would definitely recommend.

Went for a family meal for boxing day. Lovely food, staff really helpful, one of our party had to leave early for work and they made sure we all had our meals in plenty of time. Great service will definitely return.

One star for the building which is very interesting. One star for the helpful waitresses. That is it. Overpriced and uninteresting menu. Only two vegan/vegetarian dishes. A fair proportion of the dishes on offer were hamburgers ... if I want a hamburger I go to MaDonalds. Portions were small . A turkey pie and 6 roasted potatoes at, as I recall, £14, is one such example of the lack of any value for money. Wine at £25 a bottle or even more, and a run of the mill German lager at £5, demonstrates further the excessive prices. The owners have packed in as many tables as they can so that there is barely room to swing a cat. I had to get up to let people through to their tables. And was seated about 18 inches from a gentleman at the next table who had brought with him his dog, which barked. It isn't a pub in any meaningful sense of the word...just an overcrowded restuarant with a drinks licence. I left disappointed for my friend who paid a large sum of money for very little. Not somewhere I can recommend or will ever visit again. Other pubs in Nantwich may charge equally excessively but there is just the chance that they may give value for money.

Didn't stay here but I know they have rooms. Went for dinner, could not fault the menu, great selection of dishes, all of us enjoyed our meals, friendly staff and a beautiful olde worlde proper pub in the heart of Nantwich, would highly recommend.
