The Architect

A fantastic experience in the centre of Chester which exceeded all expectations! We have been past this pub numerous times, it's always been busy and we can now see why. The service from the moment we arrived was excellent, not too intrusive but very attentive and everything was explained including a special allergens menu which made us feel both welcome and safe.

Excellent selection of local drinks and a varied menu with lots of choice. The quality of food, knowledge and friendliness of the staff plus the impressive building and decor made our experience absolutely perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will return as soon as we can, special mention to the lovely young Italian lady who served us - thank you 😁

Great food and well priced in a good location, indoor and outdoor seating available, very limited parking. Bathrooms are on the first floor. Drinks are expensive.

Had lunch at The Architect which was a very nice and quite complete cheese board followed my ice cream and coffee. Sat outside as it was the first very hot days of the summer. Beautiful gardens and the staff were very correct.

It's a great place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Food was just okay. We ordered a need pie and steak burger. Not alot of flavours but was just okay. Also there's alot of seatings I guess 100+ but parking is very limited.
Overall if you want to hang out with friends for a couple of drinks and celebrate its a great place, if you are looking for good food, this might not be the best choice.

Only popped in to use their loos and have a courtesy drink, ended up staying for a full Sunday roast! Immaculate place with a great vibe. Good selection of food and drink which was fairly priced for the quality you got. Table staff were a little iffy on their service, hence the 4 stars. Would recommend!

My first time trying this place and I absolutely loved it. Good ambience, fabulous friendly staff, very attentive. Very good value for money and food was excellent. I will be returning.

This place was recommended so we visited for a late lunch. Beautiful setting beside the racecourse. Very relaxed atmosphere. Service was superb and the food was delicious. Cannot fault anything. Would encourage anyone who is visiting Chester to find this pub/restaurant. It is a little outside the main part of town but worth the walk.

I had a lovely meal with my friend there. We both ordered seabass which was delicious. Great location, good service. Will certainly visit again
