Stopped off on the way to Aberystwyth. Lovely service and fresh food. The fish goujon sandwich was huge! Worth the price and definitely filled me. Generous portion. Will be the new place to pop in now on our long journeys!

Friendly staff, lovely Sunday lunch meal, parking, beer garden and extremely dog friendly, dogs allowed inside and outside, would recommend and will visit again when am in the area.

Drinks are reasonably priced, garden is great and dog friendly to a point ....landlord does bring his dog out off- lead to play ball....which distressed our dog and I do believe....all dogs should be on lead in a public area. Those are the positives, the food is basically rubbish and the service and customer service is non-existant! My advice regarding the Cross Guns....is to travel a few hundred yards up the road (heading towards Oswestry) and go to the most excellent White Lion...better service, fantastic menu choice, and frankly better attitude.

Travelling through Pant to visit a sick relative. Stopped by chance and myself and husband had a great lunch. Friendly staff, open fire and the food was fantastic. My husband even said it was the best chicken burger he had had in a long time. Will definitely call in again.

We went to this pub after a day out walking. Lovely draught beer, food was excellent. Lovely service too! Thank you very much.
Would highly recommend steak dinner. 🙂

* Poor *

Really not one to complain but came out of her really deflated. One meal out of six finished and that’s only because I was starving and 22 weeks pregnant. Stick to “ The Hungry Horse “. Atmosphere shocking, we been travelling 6 hours after picking our boy up from army and really looked nice from outside. We are so down to earth and friendly and just felt so frowned down upon. They really didn’t care about how you were served or spoken to. No chips available just fried, which is not the end of the world if they were fresh. If only we knew mc Donald’s were down the road, we would have gone there. As a buisness owner you go out of your way to please customers but I don’t think they know how to even be friendly. Steak was nice but mushroom and tomato were from breakfast by looks of. Poor, poor. Very disappointed. It’s nice to be nice and accommodating and this is something that was totally lacking.

Delicious food. Simple well prepared dishes. I had a very tasty steak and chef happy to serve a diet version with lots of nice veg. Log fire. Not fancy schmancy just a real basic proper pub. Good beer.
Loved it.

Ten out of ten as usual. The beef dinner was just delicious and the red cabbage was the best I've had. We always call when passing from Llani to Manchester and can't wait until next time. All the best for Christmas and the new year to you all.
