I had to seek shelter in my motorhome as storm Eunice approached England.

I called The Plough Inn in a slightly panicked state to see if they would allow me to park up in their parking lot through the worst of the storm. They kindly agreed as long as I had a drink or meal in the pub, which I was of course happy to do.

The pub is very cool. Loads of, what appears to be original exposed beams. So much character to be seen.

The food was absolutely brilliant and fairly priced.

Would absolutely recommend a visit if you are in area.

Thank you so much for allowing me to spend the 2 nights in your car park, it truly is appreciated.

Positives: Lovely staff clearly working hard despite being under staffed. Tasty pub grub, good portions at an affordable price - was slightly overcooked but this is probably due to nationwide staff issues at the moment. Dining area is next to garden and decorated well.
Negatives: the toilets and rest of the pub need refurbishment to get rid of the grimy feel and smell (smoke in toilets and general dirty bar smell in the bar). The pub has an area for people to drink and watch sports which was rowdy on a Wednesday at 7pm.. not my cup of tea...

Fantastic pub, the food is excellent, value for money and a great selection too. Staff are brilliant, friendly and polite, a very traditional Inn with lots of character, plenty of tables inside and outside. Been here twice whilst on holiday, you won't be disappointed.

As mum and dad where staying round the corner in a camp site just minutes away from this pub, we decided to all meet up for a surprise dinner for our dad's 80th birthday. We were not disappointed. Loved every bit about this pub. Landlord and landlady were absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for us, there was 17 of us and all the food came out literally together which was some ask as everyone had something different. Amazing seating area indoors and out, good shaded area for the kids. We will definitely be returning. Thank you guys xx

Excellent portions, very tasty home made food (not to mention a very large menu!). Asked for a few alterations on the menu and they met our every need. Lovely independent pub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Cute play park for the older kids too. Friendly and efficient staff, will definitely go back again and again

Had a lovely NYE meal here for a group of adults and children. Lovely setting and the food was delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were lovely and we even won a couple of prizes in the raffle!! Great evening
