Since changing hands about a month ago the new ppl have dropped the standards so bad it's a shame the pub was getting back on the map for ilkeston. As
head chef there, there demands left me no choice but to leave they was buying cheap cheese cakes from morrisons for £2 cutting it in 4 and selling it for £3,95 getting 10 slices of pies instead of 8 and selling them at the same price as beening in the catering trade for many years I am disguised with how they can do this to customers it's so wrong ripping customers off

Just had a lovely carvery. Fresh vegetables, plenty of choice of meats. Veggie option available too.
The real ales on offer are varied and we'll priced. Definitely be back x

So sorry as I don't like leaving a bad review but this is my experience. Went to a function, room wasn't brilliant, as a little small and quite noisy from other customers in bar etc.
Asked for panini which was on board and Internet menu but apparently not available, asked to pay by card, also not available, requested no potatoes on my order, came with chips, forgot to bring my friends dinner which she did say was very good after it arrived. Toilets basic. There was a fracas is the bar which got sorted quickly but didn't improve the experience. So one point for reasonable styled interior and one for the good food my friend eventually received. There are many worse places but I don't generally go to them.

Great new years eve, lovely food and hospitality. The pub has been renovated and is deserving of its custom.
We had a great time, all the staff are lovely and we will be in for Sunday lunch👍

Walked in, ordered drink, walked outside and within minutes the barmaid came out with my drink. I paid, got change and sat in sunshine. Lovely.

Meant to be real ale pub, but no cask beers whatsoever on a Friday evening. Definitely one to avoid unfortunately, could be really nice.
