Absolutely cannot fault the Spanker, always a great meal, fresh homemade good food, very cosy and friendly, dogs and children always welcomed a really excellent place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Can't wait to get back again

Visited for the first time in over 5 years to take a look on the Vintage Day. The pub is lovely, well presented & clean. A very good selection of beers including some well kept ales at reasonable prices. My wife also enjoyed the great selection of gins available too. Although we didn't eat there on this occasion the food looked very good and we will no doubt visit in the very near future for a meal.
The current owners are doing a great job and we look forward to going back soon.

Great place to stop with a motorhome. They have a massive car park. Room for 2 motorhomes at the back next to the kids play area. Bit of a slope to one side, but putting ramps down solved this. They charge £10 per night. They have Electric Hook Up with 2 sockets. Fresh water available. No waste water or toilet disposal though. The food was excellent. Probably the best Steak pie meal I have had in a long time. Plenty of beer to choose from. Although they had no smooth bitter, Just hand pump stuff. Would advise booking a table at night time. Esp on certain nights. Not much in the surrounding area. Overall, its a great pup to stop at.

Good food, fast service and friendly atmosphere. Well above par for a local pub. Dog friendly with an impressive gluten free selection too.

When you book a table for ten and everybody clears their plate you know they've got a good chef in the kitchen. :-)

Although the menu isn't the most expansive, there are still tasty options which tick every box, and the food is delicious. Portions are generous, and you won't be left hungry! Lovely, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Great for families, children, dogs and just about anybody. Our most visited pub, even though we have to drive to get here!

It has a game room, pool table, fire places , sports playing TV screens in all rooms, lots of games & toys for babies / children, very friendly staff members & excellent food ( very healthy options ). The view is really nice in the outdoor seating area as well. Romantic seats / tables for date nights but also group tables in other rooms. The best pub ever ! I absolutely LOVED it!

Popped in for a tonic ice and lemon and a chill. The garden area fenced in the car park was a lovely sun trap. The pub was pristine had a good selection of cask ales and polite and friendly staff. They also serve food . Looks pretty good too.
