The Nailers Arms

Went here for the first time today as it was recommended to us by a family member. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. Drinks arrived quickly. The food ... We all had homemade braised beef and onion pie, chips and peas ....was absolutely amazing. Huge chunks of meat and a tasty gravy. The pie filling filled the deep dish and the light puff pastry topping was the best. Chips were gorgeous too, nice and crisp on the outside whilst being fluffy in the middle . A separate, huge, pot of gravy was also served with the meal . There is a restaurant area which I would recommend you book for or the pub side, where meals are also served. We chose from the pub classics menu but they also do a carvery .We complimented the staff as we were leaving with a promise that we would be going back ... And we will ...

Went here for my first carvery experience, not disappointed at all! The food are nice with a great selection of sides. Staff are friendly and helpful.Would definitely visit again! Lot of reserved seat, glad we grab a spot before it's full! Better to make a booking next time!

Another fine meal. There are some places that it’s important to rely on, one I guess might be a hospital and a second might be a great restaurant!
For me The Nailers Arms is certainly a great restaurant, incidentally a very good and popular pub too. My wife is a celiac and we need to know and trust that we can order and rely on Gluten Free food. The Chef and kitchen staff here are highly trained and reliable. Once again our food arrived quickly well cooked and presented. A straight 10/10 even serving the full menu with a private function running at the same time.

Wow. First time I have visited this beautiful restaurant today and I cannot compliment enough. We had the carvery and I can honestly say, best carvery we have ever had! Food was awesome. Really tasty and fantastic price. Staff are polite and helpful.

Used Google to find a local pub and picked this out of three for the area. Really nice with full car park. Carvery available alongside quite a varied menu. Chose the carvery and not disappointed as well cooked and very filling followed by cherry crumble with custard and now very full.
Lady on the carvery worked very hard trying to serve the queue and replenish veg etc - definitely could do with a hand to improve overall score for the pub

Been here lots of time and the food is always excellent. 6 of us visited on a Thursday evening for my mother in law's birthday. 2 of us didn't want the carvery but were advised there was an hour wait for food which meant we all had to have the carvery or 4 diners would have to wait an hour. The carvery was lovely but not what 2 people wanted. Puddings were also very good.
Staff were very pleasant but there did seem less than normal.

Attractive pub with a simple menu and very reasonable prices for a meal out.
The staff were helpful with getting us sorted with a high chair etc and other random requests. The starters were very basic and not much to write home about but the main courses were the best. I had one of the burgers and it was delicious. I think this pub is known for its carvery and it certainly looked great. I would visit again for the value and the nice environment, thank you.

Family meal on New years day. Booked a table for eight and all had carvery except one. They informed us when the one meal was due to come out so we could all eat at the same time. I had beef and gammon (turkey was also available), good range of vegetables and the quality of the meat and veg was excellent. The staff and our waitress were friendly and helpful. Had such a lovely meal and we all agreed we will return! 👍🏻
