This establishment needs to stay open. I request everyone help this lovely pub and stay local. Great food and local ales with a wonderful outdoor and indoor atmosphere run by a lovely friendly local landlord couple. Ashame the newly occupied London City Slicker neighbours are not supporting the local community.

A further visit is on the cards. Busy today. Ordered lunch and was well worth the wait. Ham, egg and lovely chunky chips. Salt and pepper calamari .... delicious... could have easily had a double helping. Harveys beer .. delightful. Highly recommended.

Disappointed, looked OK . But felt this pub was not up to scratch, person took ages pouring a pint more head than beer,as kept glass upright while trying to fill from the pump. Locals coming in announcing they feel rough full of 🥶?? Cold Could have been covid for we knew. Barman coughing as well as chef who prepared the food, letting everyone know she was passing her cold to her husband behind the bar. Felt uncomfortable with covid figures going up again these people should not be working or in a place that sells food.
Meal OK but nothing special. This pub could be a lot better with improvements as in a prime position on the road.

My partner and I stopped here for lunch. The pub itself is a beautiful 17th century building, with low beams and stunning views from the garden. We had baguettes, which were a good size and good value. The staff were friendly. Will definitely go back when we're in the area again.
