Quirky and madly popular little pub in Gothic former waterworks building... great real ales and ciders. Cosy and friendly atmosphere. Countless antique curios, even virtually all the furniture is for sale! Lots of character. Seating a real squeeze, but that customers are assured is all part of the fun.

Really friendly atmosphere with a wide selection of ales and ciders. The pork pie was very tasty.
When it's busy you may have to buy a seat. Which is possible because everything is for sale.

Great pub, the best in the area. In fact, one of the best I have ever been to. Awesome beer, vibes and environment. Place to visit if you have the chance.

The most friendliest place in earth! The chap who runs it, talks to everyone and encourages people to mingle and meet new people and it works. All staff are polite. We went twice during our mini 3 day stay because the vibe in there was intoxicating! Definitely a must if you're in the area! Great selection of ales, beers, ciders, etc....

Oh, and the toilet flush, is probably the best I've ever seen! So creative.

What a great little place this is! The staff were all very friendly, the food was excellent (if you get a chance try the scotch egg!) and the beer is perfection .... I highly recommend a visit to The Waterworks

The best pub in rye and possibly the best in England too! Amazing cider, great beer, amazing decor, lovely staff, the best atmosphere. Family run pub with a quirky owner and a potato competition on Sundays! Will come back to rye just for this pub!

Really great place, wonderful selection of beers. Quirky decor left over from when it was antique shop. Well priced beers can be drunk in air conditioned comfort. Well worth a visit to be served by really friendly, well informed staff.

Quirky but interesting pub specializing in local craft ales and ciders. Pity about the tacky streetfront signage masking the historic building. Bar snacks available including a very decent scotch egg.
