My wife and I visited here a few Sundays ago for Sunday lunch. We never have 3 courses each, but this time we did! And we thoroughly enjoyed every part of it, but especially the Roast. Perfect home cooked fresh food, just like you’d make at home but better!
Extensive Gin menu as well as drinks.
Can’t wait to come back!

We love this 300 year old pub nestling in Paglesham East End, great food, local ales and plenty of walking foutes along the River Roach.

Most reliably fantastic restaurant I’ve ever visited. I have eaten here many times with my family. They serve a perfect 3 course meal every time, even when dealing with large tables. Meals are never late and staff are always so polite. Also, the gardens are beautiful, with plenty of space. Would highly it recommend to anybody visiting the area, or to anybody looking to go out for that special meal.

I used to come here as a child and loved watching the caged birds, which forty-five years later, are still here. This is a lovely venue for lunch or dinner, especially a celebratory one. I would imagine it to be quite cosy in winter. I enjoyed the cottage pie and apple crumble, followed by a relaxing drink and coffee in the gardens. Staff were polite and efficient and food was served in an atmosphere that facilitated conversations with diners on adjoining tables. This is a beautiful venue with quality food and drink to which I hope to return next time that I am in the area. Places like these are the perfect ambassadors for our country - one glance at my photos and you will be sold.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Polite and friendly staff. Lovely location. Good value. I had no idea this pub/restaurant was owned by the Oliver family but not surprised as the food was excellent! Would definitely visit again 🙂
