The Well House Inn, Coulsdon, is a really nice pub for both families and groups. We found the staff to be welcoming, kind and complimentary. The food was excellent - served quickly and cooked perfectly. Very much look forward to my next visit!

The fact that the pub dates back to 15th century, and the old building has been renovated to keep the original character (and purpose) is fantastic - it’s also named after the St Margaret’s Well, itself recorded in the Doomsday book, which is on-site.

Recommend.

Very nice place. It was extra hot so eating in the garden was great. The food at lunch time took a little longer to come out than we expected but was worth the wait. The bar outside by the garden is a great idea as it saves going all the way down the slope to the main bar, unless you want real Ales. If you have people in your group that are physically challenged then getting up to the eating area from the car park is not that straight forward but it's possible we should have found another way up there

We went here for their Bottomless brunch and would highly recommend it. They had live music which was great. It has a lovely outdoor area and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Food was good too. Can't wait to go back.

Best pub Sunday roast I’ve ever had, and I know my food, I’m somewhat of a chef myself. Highly recommend, will definitely come back with family and friends so they can experience what I just have in this fantastic 16th century pub.

Very popular ancient inn...best to book if you want to sit indoors. Really delicious Sunday roast lunch although roast potatoes were a bit hard/dried. Swede mash heavenly and roast beef perfectly cooked and flavoursome. Lovely variety of veggies. Lots of lovely gravy and proper Yorkshire puds! Desserts quite exotic..would have liked choice of traditional puds to go with Sunday lunch eg crumbles and fruit pies/sponges with custard etc but no matter, the ones we had were delicious and filling! Nice coffee and very atmospheric 1500s Inn with lots of outside seating (some canopied, lit and heated)in the garden. Beautiful countryside...no other buildings in sight. Ancient well - mentioned in Domesday book. Resident monk ghost!! Lots of car park space. Only a few minutes off M25 and very easy to find.

What a great pub! Worth going out of the way to visit. Super food and great service which the seven in our party this lunchtime all appreciated. Will be back again in the Summer for sure when the garden is in full swing..

What a great find this was! I was looking for a nice country pub, away from the hustle/bustle of London. I have now been here twice and both times were great. We sat outside under the canopy, which has a great ambience. The food was pretty good for pub food. But it is the ambience that really makes it special. I am looking forward to sitting inside during winter as it looks really lovely and cosy. I can’t wait to sit near the beautiful fireplaces and enjoy their warmth.
(I’d give this a 5 star if the seats outside had backs, rather than just being pub benches.)

Popped in to the Well House Inn on Sunday afternoon for what I hoped would be a nice bite to eat and a quick drink. Was shocked to find out it was closed all day for a private party which I think is pretty appalling. This is a public house! Will not be going there again
