Superb choice of beer, I like real ale, not Super Keg Fizzy Draught stuff. Decor and layout of the dining area was well chosen. The food was without fault, and reasonably priced. My American guests were well impressed 👍

Haven't been here for over 5 years. A lot of things have changed since then and I have to say completely for the better. A full blown refurb, knocking 2 rooms into one, decently decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful... And the food was delicious. I also noticed that there is now a menu that caters for those on a gluten free diet.... Which is a definite tick in the right box...
My mum and I like to eat out once a week and this establishment is definitely going into our top 4 places to eat... Well done team.

Dunno what happened today. After initial fiasco with the bill and using my blue light card being less of a discount than the 2 meals for £12.49, my food and the service wasn't the best.
No knives and forks, except the dirty one on the table when we arrived, had to wait ages after going to search for them myself.
They failed to tell me that half my meal was missing with no coleslaw or onion rings, so I asked for popcorn cauliflower instead, needless to say it never did arrive.
My hunters chicken was not much bigger than a chicken nugget.
A shame as this is my local, but it won't be for a while.
Disappointed.

Nice local sports pub. Good selection of beers including Green King and Speckled Hen. Comfortable and clean.

Great food lovely pub staff and the chef are lovely great food go with friends on a Friday evening

toilets awful the smell was unreal .holes in the wall etc
.u could smell them before you walked in ..mentioned it to a member of staff who shrugged shoulders and explained the company green king wont spend any money to sort out
