Lovely friendly pub.. the staff seemed very happy and courteous.

Food was quick to arrive and super tasty.

I went for the half pound cheeseburger. all components were well thought through...

fresh salad... tasty seasoned beef.. Bacon cooked well and bun lightly toasted.

would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will be back there soon

Booked an evening meal here with friends as part of our forest of Dean break. We went on a Thursday evening which turned out to be two for £25 steak night. At £23 plus a steak normally it was a no brainer. We all enjoyed the meal and the chatty server/ barman offered friendly banter. Nice and warm would recommend you book though. Mid priced meals on rest of menu but steaks were great value.

Visited with a mate last night for a pint, ended up staying for dinner. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, very nice food, I was too eager to make a start on the gammon, hence the half eaten plate. Our bar person and server was very helpful for someone who was so busy. Checked in on us several times and offered desserts and coffees after we had eaten.

Visited the new inn with friends and 2 dogs. Lovely pub however there was a few mistakes made on our food orders due to new staff on the bar taking the orders wrong. The lady who works in the kitchen with the glasses I don’t know her name unfortunately but she was very very helpful and went above and beyond for us all to rectify the mistakes that were made. She issued 2 refunds on orders and also complimented us with a choice of deserts and a bottle of Prosecco. The food was all fresh and tasty. Thanks to the lady for going above and beyond excellency customer service from her.

Lovely and cosy country pub. Friendly staff. Visited in a group of six on a Sunday afternoon. We all had varying roast dinners and all agreed the food was amazing. We were staying in a cabin at the Forest Holidays and this is a short walk from there. We will visit the New Inn again when next in the area and would recommend. I would book a table if going on a weekend

A lovely roast dinner, best one iv had in a pub for a while! Very busy little pub. Did only appear to be one member of staff on the bar, who could only work as quick as she could. Another pair of hands would definitly have make it 5 stars as the wait for drinks was a while, even with going upto the bar yourself.

A party of eleven of us went for lunch yesterday (Boxing Day) and we all agreed that the food and service was excellent. I had the best rump steak I have had in a very long time and all the meals came out together and were nice and hot. I would thoroughly recommend a visit and we will return. A big thank you to the staff of The New Inn.
