Good proper pub food, not bought in pre-prepared stuff. Pub food as it should be.

First visit. Lovely village pub with three or four different rooms. Warm cosy and comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. Quite a good menu with several choices and decent prices in these difficult times. Two meals, small portion fish and chips, pan fried salmon. Came well presented, hot and well cooked. First class pint of cask beer. Will certainly visit again.

Two of us went in on a Friday early for food+drinks, it was the best service, very attentive and the food was great. Price was reasonable given quality and service.

I noticed it was dog friendly.

Recommended.

My mum and 9 elderly residents from Old Mill Court went here for their annual Christmas Dinner. They save up all year for it. They were put in a side room were the table wasn't set properly and the heating was off in the room. They sat with their coats on. When the food arrived, most of it was cold, my mums was sent back twice to be warmed up. The vegetables came so late, most of them had eaten their food. The whole group were really upset and disappointed. They complained and the bill was halved but their day was ruined. When my mum told me, I was so angry at the service they received. Take your business elsewhere!!!!

Our Xmas lunch a couple of weeks ago was barely warm. Only one small bowl of veg between four of us (one sprout each and a sliver of carrot). Asked for more when they arrived near end of meal sprouts still frozen in middle. Pigs in blanket burnt hardly any gravy. Shop bought tiny Xmas pud had been in microwave too long and packet custard was watery. There was nothing that was fresh all frozen pre packed food. No business from us in future there are better alternatives not far away.
