It would appear to be on our list of new local pubs, I’m sure I came here years ago but it’s now undergone a substantial renovation and looks great. Very helpful staff and very dog friendly food is decent we are slowly working our way through the menu 😋

A very good pub for Sunday roast.
Probably the best staff experience I've had in a long time. Incredibly friendly, attentive, respectful. Couldn't praise the team more.

The roast was hit & miss. The veg is really where this roast shines. The cauliflower cheese is some of the best we've ever had, and the buttered cabbage and carrots were divine. I felt my beef was rather tough & dry, but it was made up for with a large Yorkshire & lashings of gravy.

The sticky toffee pudding was certainly not a disappointment, while the hazelnut pudding & ice cream was ok.

Reasonably priced menu, good wine selection, good staff. Would recommend, if a bit out the way.

Excellent pub, great food, warm greetings from the staff. We had our dogs and they were welcomed even more than we were. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

I had dinner on Saturday afternoon with my two sons. Food and service good despite being busy with the world Cup game. Good selection of beers and spirits. Mac cheese and sausage roller starter in the images.

The food was ok but I have to disagree with some previous reviews regarding the staff. I didn't find them particularly friendly or attentive. On the plus side the manager was very helpful finding a table for us although we hadn't booked. I also had to query the bill as we were a table of 3 yet a "discretionary" payment had been added although it was stated on the menu this applied to table of 4 upwords. It was sorted but not very graciously.

A very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and good beer. A great venue just east of mile end station. Another visit another day, post Brexit and hopefully post plague, a great place for a drink and /or eat depending on your wants. Lovely staff as always. Always worth a visit!

Had a lovely time at here. We booked inside as it was too hot outside. Really glad we did as there is not a lot of shade outside (!!) we were greeted with a warm welcome on arrival, shown to our table (we actually got to choose ourselves). Drinks ordered by another friendly staff member and shown the menus. On such a hot day we didn't want a main meal and thought we would graze on starters. Boy what a great idea! I can heartily recommend pork and black pudding sausage roll, chorizo scotch egg, triple cooked chips and the warm camonbear (forgive my spelling). The food and accompanying service was wonderful. In fact the food was so good I didn't have time to take photos as it was demolished in minutes. 3 of us spent an afternoon there with wine and spirits in an unhurried environment totally stuffed and well watered for £30/head well worth it. I took pictures of the menu as the only thing left :)
