A typical Wetherspoons in that at 6.30 the remnants of the families who have been eating are leaving and the group's going out come in for cheap drinks and then by 9 they leave and the socialisers are left.
The pub itself is a nice building with relatively low ceilings so feels quite cozy. There's a big outdoor space at the back with tables too.
Staff were pleasant and the service was quite quick when ordering on the app apart from when it was at its busiest.

It was really good. Friendly atmosphere, quick service and great value. My large pizza with extra toppings was served nice and hot and was full of flavour. Had this with a pint of Guinness all for under £10. It's difficult to beat in all honesty. My only slight criticism would be the state of some of the chairs and carpet which were looking somewhat worn and a bit tired.

Had lunch today. Ordered a small portion of vegetarian all day brunch.. Food was good and reasonably priced, every table was occupied.
Only one waiter serving tables though, clearly a staff shortage, given 4 stars due to this...

I visited a number of wetherspoons outlets and I always go for the cask beers which generally are second to none. When it comes to having something to eat I generally have a pizza. Maybe hammond tomato or something with extra chilies on and I have never ever being disappointed. Always fantastic.

Really nice for a Wetherspoons, I prefer this one to the two in Preston. It has way more of a family friendly feel, and I frequently bump into customers to have a conversation with who are all wonderful. The staff here are also amazing and I get the same warm welcome whether they already know me or not, it's always nice to feel at home somewhere ☺️

It was filthy! Every table had either discarded meals or dirty glasses waiting for clearing. The manager was lovely, apologetic but doing her level best to get things in hand. Staff were in very short supply. Had to send both meals back 1 for being stone cold :( , when we complained the member of staff took it away, and unbelievably dumped it on an already overflowing table and disappeared. The drinks we ordered were sat on the bar for ages , in a queue, no staff to deliver them. We eventually got the two meals although not together.

Not even average, both our meals returned for different reasons. Fine second time around but served at different times. Unbelievably the waiter left one of the returned meals on another table 🤷‍♂️
The manager was run off her feet, most other staff looked like they couldn't care less.
