The Ale House

Wonderful ale house. It has the best selection of beer you could imagine. Literally something for everyone. Good that they serve 1/3 pints so you can try lots of different beers. If I'm ever back in Stroud I will make sure this is top of the itinerary. Brilliant

A great find in the middle of Stroud, well worth a visit if you fancy an excellent choice of beers. It also serves a range of food at a great price and what looked like an excellent Sunday meal offer.

Food served from 6 mainly curries . Excellent range of traditional ales from near and far. Not much craft

Large open areas inside, selection of pale ales but never many medium to darker ones. Meals available including Sunday lunch (need to book).

Great venue. Never been before. Loved inside the open fire and nice stout too.

Made a booking for New Year’s Eve with a lovely member of staff. Just called to try to change the booking, (assuming the manager answered as have seen bad reviews about the management) and he said “we’re not taking bookings, it’s first come first severed” and then hung up without fully dealing with our enquiry. This was extremely rude and we will not ever be visiting the ale house. I feel sorry for his members of staff.

Fantastic range of ales and the curry was delicious. Dylan the bar man was very friendly and helpful too. We enjoyed playing billiards (badly), would recommend The Ale House.
