Lovely old pub. Does 3 ales. Shropshire gold was really nice. They're open from 9 and do breakfasts. There is live music on Friday and Saturdays. Allow van stop overs for a tenner. Great place. Recommended 🍻

A great pub, beautiful, unique building with a tiny old school, meaning REALLY old school dinky little bar. Consistently lovely staff, loads of outdoor seating, or, if you want to pretend you're in The Green Dragon in Hobbiton you can drink indoors, enjoying a real fire in the wintertime. There's an outdoor bar and often barbecued food in Summer, fancy pants posh car night on Mondays or better still around two zillion motorbikes on a good Wednesday evening.

What's not to like?

Brilliant little pub has plenty on for adults and children. Biker night on a Wednesday and classic car night on a Monday. Both of wich always turn out a decent crowd.

Stayed there last weekend in our motorhome, all the staff were brilliant and the entertainment 👏, also egg's and bacon baps for breakfast 😋, will definitely be back.

First visit to The Scotch Piper. Went in The Scotch Piper for a cuppa and a bathroom break. We were made to feel very welcome. Cuppa was lovely and the muffin with little smarties on was delish. We liked all the quirky items in there and the pics on the walls. We would definitely go back there again if we were in the area.

Step back in time in the oldest Pub in Lancashire, in contrast had chat with a few friendly bikers, and had a little drinky too.

Great little pub one of the oldest in the country. Cracking selection of ales, especially real ale. I had a couple of pints of a Titanic cherry dark ale (mild) Nectar!!! I'll be back.
