Food was to a great standard as always, how ever the service was absolutely shocking, to the point where I cancelled desert and asked for the bill which I also had to chase up.
We arrived at 5pm and got our food ordered by 5:05pm starters came out by around 5:20 after finishing the starters we then had no one come round till about 6pm to take the plate and give us our mains. We then asked for a glass of wine which I had to get because we waited about 15 minutes and still had no wine.
At 6:20pm a server come back over and said they will get the deserts ready, it got to 6:35 and no sign of anything. I then asked to cancel the deserts and have the bill, which took long enough that I had to get up and go to the bar area to pay for it.
I have never experienced such a lack of service from any harvester I have ever been to. Such a shame, didn’t see the same server at all and had to call people over. No one checked in to see if we was enjoying the meal or if we need anything.
I know it’s not a fast food restaurant but 1 hour 40 minutes for 2 courses is just crazy with no sign of desert coming at all.
I think the staff may need extra training or maybe extra staff are needed if they cannot handle the tables.
All the staff seemed to be stood round the bar area chatting while we was waiting around.
Multiple people walked past us and not one offered us a drink or to take plates away.

Absolutely brilliant service. The young lady that served us was friendly and very helpful. The Manager was equally helpful I had a voucher that I showed saying that I had a buy one get one free. Unfortunately after opening to show the colleague it disappeared and I was unable to log onto the app(still can't!) The Manager kindly put the voucher through despite not being able to see my code. Top stuff. The meal we got was hot and tasty. I highly recommend your staff at the cat & fiddle. Recognition for their great service is in need !

Staff were friendly, food was lovely. Salad bar was freshly changed as we got there which was nice to see them do. We had a table of 12 and the food and drinks came quickly. Food was lovely and great value. Really enjoyed thank you

New (I think?) manager Mike is superb! Attentive without being overly so, engaging and conscientious. It’s evident he wants customers to enjoy themselves and the food and receive good service. All the staff we met - new faces - were so much more efficient and friendly than we’ve experienced here in the past! Food was lovely too

Excellent service, We were served by LISA who was very polite and attended to us in a professional manner and was very informative of the services that were available. The food was of good quality quality and very hot. Will definitely be visiting again.
We are from Worcester and will make sure we pass on our positive recommendations to our friends and relatives.

The place has a great history but it could do with a bit of TLC to bring it back to its former glory. Broken windows, guttering and weatherboard hanging off don't give a good first impression. The food was standard offerings for a Harvester, it was nice and hot when served with only a very short wait. Ryan our server was very friendly and helpful. Due to staff shortages it was bookings only and no bar service. I really hope this pub can get back up and running to full capacity soon.

Have been to the Cat and Fiddle in the past and we decided to return for a post Birthday meal (the problem with midweek Birthdays).

We were seated quickly and politely by friendly staff and the first drinks order was taken and served swiftly.

We skipped starters and went straight for mains.

My wife went for the "Bird, Surf and Turf" and I opted for the mixed grill.

Most of the food was OK but have to say the Steak on both dishes was a real disappointment. Tough and quite a lot of grissle.

I have had much better steak at home and most other places locally. Either they need to spend more on better cuts or quality check what the supplier is giving them.

Other dishes may fare better but I can't say I'd order a steak in the future.

As we were in a quieter corner we found getting a second round of drinks took a while as no staff came to check if we needed anything and dessert took a very long time to arrive.

Overall not a bad experience but far from good.... Hence only 3 stars.
