Visited on a Sunday lunch time, proper village pub as it should be.(Without blaring music & sky sports being forced upon you) serving excellent beer, nice food with really friendly, helpful staff who couldn't be more helpful, even though we managed to double book our table!! Couldn't ask for more!

Very cute and quaint pub, with lovely staff… but please don’t eat here. After ordering five meals, and waiting almost an hour for the food, we wished we hadn’t bothered. The peri chicken felt like it had a curry paste rubbed over it last minute before serving, the scampi was cold and bland, and the kids chilli was ridiculously spicy. So very disappointing.

Welcoming village pub. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Good menu choices and very reasonable prices too. The bisvoff cheesecake was 'to die for'

Best jumbo sausage in batter and chips in the country in my view, not on main menu but if your cheeky enough they will cook for you at lunch time.
Fabulous food

One of my favourite real ale pubs in East Sussex ~ they even have a brewery right next door! The food is excellent too

Wonderful food and a great welcome. The best sticky toffee pudding and chicken curry I ever ate! Will be a regular visitor from now on!
