A really nice experience, a delicious fish & chip meal, excellent service all in a delightful country pub. Thanks to all.

Led a walk from this lovely country pub on a Sunday two weeks ago,came back and six of us enjoyed a wonderful carvery,definitely the best I've eaten for a long time.

Lovely pub, lovely Landlords, great food (especially portions)- support this lovely local pub, and make sure you have a pint of London Pride- one of the best pints I have had recently!!..

We had a fabulous Sunday carvery lunch here today. The food was homemade and amazing and the people are lovely. I'd definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

Food was disappointing. After seeing such great reviews we thought we'd give it a go. We waited an hour for our food to arrive even though we were the only sitting. The pizzas were burnt on the crust and very chewy where the cheese had been overcooked. The eggs on the ham egg and chips were solid.
The staff were polite and friendly, but we didn't feel waited on, we had to chase up drinks and sauces.
The pub was clean and there was a good selection of drinks on offer. I think we just had bad luck.

I had been on a long walk on the Chilterns with a group of friends. We were all a little hungry. Found this place by chance and what a little gem . The food was delicious and a good portion. The price was reasonable too. Would definitely recommend making a stop here.

Back tonight for a meal, Wow definitely impressed first time in two yrs, Service excellent, food choice substantial, good quality food with generous portions , add on's or different combination no trouble( I'm fussy) Landlord and Landlady came out to check everything was ok (nice touch) Lovely location great for a dog walk/meal or just a quick pint.

This is a friendly lively pub that serves pizza and a selection of really good pub food. It has real ale including seafarers. The gin is pretty good too .
Inside it has well spaced out tables as well as a undercover area outside with more tables . We like to go for a walk around the woods then come here for Sunday lunch .
