We had a table of 6 ! food was absolutely 1st class . all home made and full of flavour .
Will definitely be back .

Great food and beer. Lots of seating indoors and out. Staff very nice and helpful. Food good value and plenty of it. The fish of the day was superb. The sausages are excellent. The desserts are amazing.

Well the food was absolutely banging with exceptional detail to dressings and accompaniments perfectly balanced. The team were delightful and it was a lovely experience not to be missed if you are in the area. My partner had The Ships Burger I had the Barge platter choosing Whitebait Chicken wings and the Mac Cheese. Both of us were really impressed. 😋

I have been to alot of pubs for food and this one has hit the top of the list for being one of my favourites! Absolutely delicious food, lovely pub, friendly staff great service and is right next to the canal! So even better on a summers day. I will definitely be returning to try more food off the menu. Me and my partner had the roast dinners, I had the chicken and he had the beef, both was cooked to perfection, full of flavour and meat cooked perfectly to, good quality food 😍 for the starters we had the salt and pepper chicken wings, they was soooo tasty, I could of had more if I had room in my belly for more 😂

Brilliant stopover in our campervan. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we enquired. Lovely chatty staff who were working really hard to attend to everyone (it was rammed at 13.00 on a Tuesday!). Food was super, great selection of local real ales. Well done on a beautiful, warm and welcoming pub. How hospitality should be❤️

Love this pub. Cosy, traditional, and situated by the canal. Food is very good and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

I'd give more stars if I could! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Although we sat outside we had a very good experience from the staff and the food was exceptional. We had the steak pie and the Lancashire burger. Very recommend to visit.

Already Heard A Lot That The Ship At Lathom Is Good So I Decided To Go

When Arriving The Building Itself Was Fantastic Very Traditional. I Ordered Haddock And Chips Only Thing That Was A Problem Was It Took A While

It’s Rather They Had A Bad Day Or Maybe A Bit Stressed So I Wont Nitpick Or Drop Stars Because Of It

Then It Arrived So The Chips

The Chips Were Meh Alright Not The Best Just Needs Some Seasoning

The Peas Were Just Like Mushy Peas

And The Fish Was Decent Not Much To Say

Overall It Was Good But Not The Best Still Enjoyed My Stay Though
