The White Horse

The White Horse is a beautiful pub nestled in the Surrey countryside. We sat in their lovely garden at the back of the pub where all the tables had parasols. The food was fantastic and the customer service was perfect. Everyone was professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

We popped in for lunch a few weeks ago and I haven’t been able to get the shiitake burger out of my head…it was the yummiest vegan burger I’ve ever had!! My husband had the fish finger sandwich and likewise…he loved it too!! And the staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly….we can’t wait to come back again soon! A fantastic pub!!

Honestly, such a great experience. Can’t help but leave feeling good. The team make you feel so at home. The food and drink is top notch (well known local knowledge). Just to see for yourself people!!!

Amazing pub, delicious food, and fantastic service. The garden is wonderful when the sun is out, and the inside is warm and cosy. The sticky toffee pudding is incredible. We've only been a couple of times but it's already one of our favourites

Possibly my most favourite pub ever!!!!! The atmosphere is amazing both in the pub/bar section to the casual dining to the fine dining section. The staff are the friendliest I have ever EVER experienced. They really make you feel a part of a family.

Honestly this is a MUST DO. Once you come here you will come here again and again as we do :)

We had dinner here between Christmas and new year and it was fantastic. The food was great and the service super friendly. The pub itself has a good layout and really nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

We came back and it did not disappoint on round two! The Brie starter is a must and the duck main is fantastic.

Good pub with a lot of outdoor sitting space. Unfortunately, they don’t serve food outside, so can’t say much about it. But the tea was great!

It’s the little things that have always made The White Horse. Tom and his team not only provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere but they also took the time to get to know you, and truly cared.

Youngs can’t replicate that but what they can, and should have replicated, is that it was also a well run ship. Water on tables, condiments offered, specials on the board, spontaneous yet helpful menu suggestions, cutlery and napkins proactively sorted, friendly happy and well trained staff (who are encouraged to chat to locals). Good service, at a good speed, with a friendly smile.

The food is still good (even if the menu is limited, but apparently that’s changing soon), but the charm left with Tom and his team. I’d take the lack of charm if the service levels were there, but they’re not.

We’ll be back, but the twinkle in The White Horse’s eye has gone at the moment. I hope it’ll be back soon, and in the meantime, I urge the new team to speak to the regulars for some feedback.
