A very pleasant bar with some great offers on at the time of my visit like a never ending tea or coffee for 99p. I has outside seating both at the front and the rear of the bar and seating over two levels inside. The bar has a pleasant interior design, it was very clean at the time of my visit and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I can highly recommend a visit to this bar

Very friendly staff (an unsure junior staff member went and asked about Sally Service Hound of a more senior staff member (who then came and viewed Sally's working dog coat with junior) rather than confront me, which I appreciated very much; well done you!) and Sally and I were made to feel very welcome. Huge portions (bigger than I expected hence the extra chips in the picture) that were very reasonably priced. My lemon herb 1/2 chook (chicken in Australian!) was much nicer than I was expecting; it was moist, succulent, full of flavour and frankly delicious! Thanks for looking after us!

We came for breakfast, ordered two large breakfasts one had only 1 egg and no mushrooms and 1 had no bacon. Didn't bother complaining as it was very busy, but what we did have was very tasty. Also a few drinks in the evening were great, good choice of beers and gins. Reasonably priced

It is what it is. The staff are pleasant. The place doesn't really have much natural light and when it gets to the evening, it's either dark on one side and the other side has piercing spot lights. It's ok for casual meetups, flies were everywhere and tables were sticky. So not the best but not the worse

Festive Christmas Turkey dinner was not entirely hot. Two cold carrots, peas swimming in gravy and Turkey roll and some mash potato that looked like leftovers. Certainly not the best dinner I have had. But the last two visits in a year the food’s been cold. Seems that weather-spoons are cutting back with food and service!

Was nice pub and nice staff but for the cutbacks, it went against the trade description it said in the menu our meal came with mushrooms but please can you see mushrooms on my plate?

Nice staff. Needs a re decorating badly.
Would not eat in here. Due to that. Not homely or clean. Sorry for staff there. Big turn over of staff. 9 left in a week. John

This is a slightly difficult review to write. Loved the building which is full of character and the staff were good. Food was poor, so we tried to balance with an average review but will try again. For example the toast was soggy, clearly been prepared some time before serving, bacon black as over cooked (don't mean just the edges, all of it).
