George Abbot

Great pub on the edge of Guildford town centre. Nice decor and clean facilities. Staff were really friendly especially Abby with her lovely northern accent. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was a good choice of food, which I will definitely be trying in my next visit.

The chef needs retraining because the food was cold, the lasagne was over cooked and the portion was tiny. The peas from the fish and chips had been left and were freezing cold. The chips were cold.
And the meals didn't come with everything that it stated.
The bread on the garlic bread was rock hard.
Reason we didn't send back was because we waited for the meal for over an hour and we were hungry

Decided to come to the George Abbot for some lunch. It was lovely! Charlie and Liv were on the bar and Ben was the chef. The food was amazing and came out quickly. I highly recommend the Karaage chicken and they had a lovely selection of white wines! Highly recommend!

Bar staff were really welcoming and lovely. Loads of TVs if you're trying to find somewhere to watch Sport in Guildford. Near the station. Standard Greene King menu.

Popped in for on Sunday for lunch, was greeted by great staff (Niamh and Olivia) who made sure our food and drinks were brought quickly and to a excellent standard.
Definitely will be back.

I came here a couple of months ago with a large group for our office party, and I wasn't sure whether to book. Even though the pub was busy the staff were very attentive and made us feel at home, even offering an extra table when one became available. The food was excellent and arrived piping hot, even though many of us ordered individually. Thank you for a great evening. we shall definitely be returning. 5*s

Nice pub, we went there to eat as we had on a previous occasion, the pies were great, but unfortunately they did not have the veg/vegan pie on the menu this time, so we had a drink and left.

One hour of waiting to have just some food defrosted with a microwave.
Very expensive, the best part of this experience has been exit from the local.
Two stars for the gentle personal.
