Honestly what a lovely experience. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the portions are huge and great value for money too. We will be back soon for another ultimate big candymania.

We had a lovely family meal here- Lisa was very helpful throughout & the meals came out quickly & tasted nice, fresh & hot (thanks to Chef Matt & Arwen who brought the food to us too). The menu is varied & almost everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The men's toilets let it down though as they were blocked. We would definitely visit again.

We haven't been here for a while but have always loved it. We came today and the staff are still as polite as ever. The food was really good, well cooked and presented and full of flavour. Will definitely be back sooner than last time:)

Came in for drinks and a bite to eat. Great sized portions. Last time I was here I tried a chicken dish on the big plate menu and the chicken was not good. It was like that frozen stuff injected with water so ended up a bit like jelly which was not nice at all. This time however I went for the steak and ale pie and it was delicious😋 always best to book tables as they are regularly fully booked for peak times so walk in isn't recommended unless it's just the bar side of the pub for drinks only.
Service is friendly and efficient.

Had a Sunday roast. Beef was tender plate full of nicely cooked veg. Lovely meal really enjoyed our visit with friendly and helpful staff and a nice atmosphere. I would recommend a visit.

Was a good visit there, one star I am discounting for the enterior, which wasn't looking quite clean (stains on the chairs for example). Food tasted good, prices were not that high, so basically you get what you pay. They also offer very big breakfasts, which was a reason for us to come here and test it ourselves. I was eating the Rumpsteak, because I needed it glutenfree (with potato instead of fries), but my buddies were going for the giant sausage bread and the breakfast in a bread, so that was quite funny to see them struggling. 😅

Excellent service by the waitress and bartender. Meals of excellent value and quality. Like alot of pubs/restaurants staff and investment cut to the bone. The staff here worked so hard that it more than made up for tired and shabby decor.
