Great meal from an interesting menu. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I am tempted to say at least 50% of choices fall into that category. For the first time ever, I ordered a vegan main: enchiladas, not because I wanted a vegan meal but because I like Mexican food. It was very good although I found the vegan cheese tasteless. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only slight downside is that, as happens in so many places, once they clear the dirty crockery from the mains, the staff disappear. We finally were able to get to see pudding menus. I was driving so cannot speak to the drinks menu but it seemed good. There is a huge outdoor seating area, including a garden bar, which must be busy in warmer weather.

What a lovely surprise it was to find that this quirky pub had so much to offer, from very well organised different outdoor seating areas with a huge marquee, private huts to ample indoor seating are with rustic decor.

The service was carried out by friendly and warm stuff, and they catered for a variety of dietary requirements.

The food was fantastic and far exceeded my expectations. The garden area was fab for adults with a great sun shaded area. The play area is a fantastic addition and was loved by my boys. I noted the garden is also dog friendly with sectioned areas if you have reactive pups and fancy a pub visit with them. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean facilities even when very busy when we visited. Well done to all staff there.

Disappointed.
Nice staff, that's about it.
Food was cold, sitting area was cold, I just wanted to go home.
One of us ordered "Bread & olives", the balsamic vinegar was missing and the olive oil was all but olive oil, see picture. The rest looked like it had been sitting on the side for a few hours before being served.
I had to fetch my own cuttlery for the main meal...
We'll not go back.

Good range of pub food plus extras on the menu, with a vegan, vegetarian and gluten free sections. Good sized portions. Plenty of seating including outdoor sheds nicely decorated (left over from covid restrictions I imagine) and a large covered area. All decorated for Halloween on our visit. The young staff didn't know to greet us at first and we wandered a good way through the place before finding someone to seat us, despite a lot of staff around. Otherwise, all very friendly and helpful. There is currently a 25% off food for autumn 2022, voucher can be downloaded from the website. Spicy bean enchiladas pictured.

Visited for Christmas dinner. My over riding feeling is that the staff were doing their very best and were super nice and ‘Christmassy’.

However the food was not as good as what I expected. The Turkey was cut very thin (maybe personal taste), the vegetables were a little over cooked and had clearly stood for a while which was compounded by the fact that there was some aluminium foil on the parsnip.

The volume of the food was very good and I left feeling ‘well fed’.

Again the serving staff were very good indeed.

We've not been here for a while so we rocked up yesterday for a late lunch, it was busy & we hadn't booked but we got a nice table inside. There's plenty of choice on the menu & the food was well presented & tasty. Despite eating too much I had to have the apple crumble. Our server Lauren was brilliant (as were all the staff) only downside was your coffee machine wasn't working but otherwise a great experience.

Busy but charming roadside pub on the Old A3 between Ripley and Burnt Common. Traditional menu with variations to suit special dietary requirements. Prices are sensible. There are little heated cabins outside which can be booked for small groups - nice innovation. Food is pretty decent - the fish pie I had was tasty and well filled. The home baked ham with egg and chips is particularly good value.
