Good booking system. Excellent polite correspondence. Attentive friendly staff. The food has always been very good on each visit. Would like a non Sunday lunch option but understand the reasons why it makes sense to do restricted Sunday lunch options would always prefer that food be done well and consistently against variety.

We've been here several times and always enjoyed it. Steaks are well cooled, very reasonably priced and a good sized portion. There's a bar with a pool table, lounge serving food with table service and background music playing.

Its not trying to pretend to be "traditional", its a authentic solid pub doing a good job #theadventurelife

It was lovely! The staff were really friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was busy but relaxed and it was a warm and comfortable environment. The food was absolutely divine! I had the sneyd burger which delicious and really juicy, the skin on fries were lovely. Overall it was good value for money and so enjoyable that we booked for Sunday lunch!

The food and welcome are outstanding in this lovely pub! The attention to detail in both the menu and the atmosphere are so appreciated. Hot flapjack with ice cream & butterscotch sauce is a winner, as is the smoky homemade coleslaw. Vegans very well catered for, too!

Lovely Family run pub, serving nice grub. Great being so close to uni as well.

Talk about breaking the mould!
The new management have changed the Sneyd Arms standard and raised the bar.
What used to be a consistent pub experience has changed to a bar and restaurant.
The front of house bar is the same, and they've changed the back into a restaurant area.
Despite a wait for our mains, the food is absolutely amazing, from the flavour of the fries and salad garnish to the main itself, and the quality of the ingredients, the new Sneyd Arms is making a bold statement in carving its mark.
I had to order dessert to see if the puddings were as good as the mains, and I was not disappointed.
My wife chuckled as I scooped the last of the chocolate fudge sundae, saying "get in my belly!"
Overall, very pleased with the new menu.
Looking forward to coming back.

Great place! Went recently for their 'World Tour' they had running in the restaurant. It was Spanish week. Meatballs were delicious and the Patatas Bravas were perfect. Lovely, busy but calm, quiet atmosphere. Serving staff were very friendly and helpful with every question we had. Very cosy by the fire too. Nice place for a quiet meal and a drink.

We had a wonderful welcome and delicious meal at The Sneyd Arms. The pork dumplings were excellent. The home made pies were superb - nice to have a proper short crust not an air filled puff pastry. Lovely fire. Nicely socially distanced. Clean and cosy. It was perfect that the place hasn't changed since we were Keele University students over 20 years ago. Recommended.
