We stopped here for a quick lunch during the pandemic. The inside of the pub looked cozy and inviting but we ate on one of the twelve available garden tables. There is a fairly short menu of pub basics. The chips were quite good, but chicken goujons seemed a little overdone. What earns it a fourth star is being dog friendly and the amazing floral display of hanging baskets out front. The staff and landlord were very nice and welcoming.

I feel bad giving a 3 star, as the food was really really nice and choice of real ale good, but sadly we would not visit again until you sort the toilets out.

My wife had to wait as one cubicle was out of use, with no water and the seat hanging off. The other 'working' toilet did not flush properly with the ladies having to apologise to each other.

Another couple were discussing how appalling they were as well, so please get them sorted as you will lose customers over them, which us a real shame as everything else was good.

They serve a fantastic breakfast until 12 but if you don't have a huge appetite, I would suggest not looking at the large one. It's delicious and made from great quality components but it's HUGE! Friendly team and dogs welcome (with well behaved humans) and I'm glad I popped by.

I met a friend in the Kings Arms on 8 September and they rang the bell to announce that the Queen had died just on our first order. So, I will always remember where I was at that sad event - long live the King!
The Kings Arms has a good range of real ales always revolving and they provide good meaty pub food. We went for the beef n boondoggle pies, chips peas and gravy and they were pretty wholesome.
The dual landlords are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and mostly family run the food side supporting the chef. It deserves its entry in the good ale guide. We shall return.

Can't comment on the drink or beer. The barman made us feel so unwelcome as we had our baby with us. We were told they don't let children in. Even though people were offering us their table and made us welcome. Friday night 7pm bar medium full. Baby silent. Not good. This is 2022 not the 80s. We'll stick to the other local pubs that welcome you in.

Fantastic Pub. Called in for lunch today and was welcomed by friendly staff. Sausages on the menu were delicious! Look forward to returning soon to try more of the food!

After eating dinner there, spending a small fortune, and being the life and soul of the pub that night, we all got thrown out for having a good time. It’s the second time we’ve had a bad experience going there. The landlord is a Grumpy Boring Rude A-hole, who is better fitted to a role as a traffic warden rather than hospitality. ☹️

We had another lovely meal at the Kings. Plenty on the plates, nice quality meat in the curry. Followed by an enjoyable and sociable evening. Great range of good beers. The Kings always feels like a real Pub. Cheers !
