Have been going to this pub for years ever since it was hamlets . Old style pub with old style pub atmosphere.

Best pub in Tamworth. Play good rock & I die music, old school building and a great tap selection.

Good service, a nice crowd. Excellent beer.

Now I love this pub. It's quirky, it's cosy, it's got great beers and the staff behind the bar know their job. It's also one of the few pubs in the UK where I've regularly entered into unsolicited conversations with otherwise strangers, and I'm not even a regular. It's even got a jukebox. It ticks all the right boxes for me. Oh, and it's dog friendly.

Only a small pub, but probably one of the best in the town. Renowned for good quality ales, particularly Oakham and Salopian.
Music is played at the right volume to add to the atmosphere.
Toilets are upstairs.

Proper pub with good music and good ale. Also got a nice garden for the summertime.

Great location, CAMRA beers. Great views on to the Castle
