A very large pub, stylishly laid out with bookcases of fascinating old books used as dividers for different sections, to make the pub feel more intimate. Standard pub grub with plenty of choice. Food served promptly. Tables cleared quickly and cleaned after each use. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend, whether it's for a cup of coffee to read the paper, or an evening out with a group of people.

Very good spot to have dinner, particularly if, like me, you're on a work trip and on your own: the app means you can order everything from your table without worrying about whether someone will take said table whilst you're ordering at the bar... The food is good and the service speedy. It's a really easy option if you're staying at the Hilton hotel next door and, as such, I'd happily head back next time I'm there...

Not a very good experience I'm afraid. Ordered nachos ...came without cheese and were cold. Pizza was tiny very thin and had little topping, completely different to the food in town at spoons Saxon. Such a shame as its nice place to visit

Typical spoons, however this is inside a modern building on the edge of an industrial estate. Toilet is down stairs and huge 🤣. Lots of seats, however a bit slow to clear tables. Recommend using the spoons app here, to order, as the bar always seems busy. Had the bacon and brie Christmas menu burger. Was ok but nothing special. With a soft drink it was £9.05, so not bad value, as always could have done with more chips! Quick service though. Visited on a Wednesday evening and it was busy.

Popped in on Friday night with friends for after work drinks. The service was great despite it being a busy evening. The two girls Emma & Kirsten who served us during the evening were so nice & friendly.

Had a large breakfast, without mushrooms and a coffee. Came pretty quickly, one of the bits of toast was burnt on one side (hence the 4 stars) but overall it was pretty decent. Probably worth asking for an extra butter, but that's due more to the size of the toast than the shortage of butter

Nice modern design for a spoons. Spacious and clean. 45 min wait for food. But was worth the wait. Nice vibe during the day.

Frankly this pub is one to avoid. I have given up visiting it because the food is terrible and the atmosphere at times is very unpleasant. I have waited 40 minutes for a meal which was cold and I had to return as inedible. I will no longer take my wife to a place where the bad language and horse play can be really embarrassing and staff walk by ingoring such behavior. If you go on a bad day the bar staff can even look right through you and serve people who came in long after you started waiting.
