Great location with pretty natural pond overlooked by upper decked seating area with some heated undercover seating if wanted. Traditional style decor with large dining areas but keeping that quaint appeal. Good menu choice and bar is pretty impressive with a great selection of drinks and weekly gin choice ‘ Bath tub ‘ Gin ‘ was this weeks choice.
All in all good meal

It’s easy to tell when a place cares about the food they are serving, and they really do care at The Hand & Trumpet. Fabulous meal, and a really lovely, relaxing, airy restaurant area. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Best meal this year so far. Well done 👍🏻

This place has a really nice relaxing feel to it with some amazing food. The choice of dishes was so vast it was hard to pick. Had the chicken tandoori burger and the yoghurt that came with it combined with the burger was incredible. Chips weren’t hot, maybe been left for a little while but that was totally excused by the rest! Nice waitress and desert was probably 4/5!

Lovely meal at the Hand & Trumpet with work colleagues this week. We went for the Christmas Fayre menu which was very reasonable for 2/3 courses and they were all delicious! Excellent presentation and good service. Very nicely done up inside also we were sat by an open fire which was lovely!

We went here on a Sunday mid afternoon. The location is good and easy to find. There is a decent amount of parking with disabled spots right near the entrance and a ramp to get in.

The staff were happy and polite and the general atmosphere is cheerful and lively. After being told and directed to our table our drinks arrived and were lovely. They had a special gin on which went down nicely.

The food selection was good and our whole table were able to find something to eat. Most of the meal's portion sizes are generous. I had the belly pork. I would have preferred a larger cut of meat and wish I'd gone for my 2nd choice of the burger with the additional pulled pork.

Overall, it was a lovely place, lovely food and great value for money. I would definitely go back again. I'd possibly be reluctant to try another choice cut of meat and go with a more traditional meal because I'm a fatty and like a large portion size but that's my issue and not the restaurant's problem. 😁

If you fancy food that is well presented, and a little different from usual, then this is the place for you. Great menu, with full range of meat and vegan /veggie dishes. It is clear that a lot of thought has been put into the menu choices. I loved the truffles! Good atmosphere and staff very friendly. They have lost half a star as I think the dishes are a little expensive and we had to ask the staff a few times to get our choices for main course and dessert.

I have been here a few times and would definitely recommend the place!

We have been going here for years, everyone is so helpfull and attentive. The food is great quality and plentiful, although the wife noticed there wasn't any steak on the menu the Sunday we went. There is plenty of parking and the toilets are fantastic and spotless. We will be back to use up the Xmas vouchers
